KidCoder (“we”, “us”, “our”) is dedicated to respecting the privacy of your personal information, and this privacy policy describes what information is collected from you on www.kidcoder.ca (“website”) and how it is used. The term “you” will be used dependent on the section it is used in (see below).
We respect your privacy. For that reason, we wrote this Privacy Policy in plain English, so you don’t need a PhD in law to understand it.
What information do we collect on the website from:
Regular visitors
“Regular visitors” (“you” in this section) refers to anyone who uses, visits and/or views the website.
We monitor website usage statistics, such as the number of visitors, duration of visits, and bounce rate, to enhance the user experience and website performance. This is done without collecting any personally identifiable information (PII).
Paying Customers
“Paying customers” (“you” in this section) refers to anyone who pays for a course through our website.
To complete a purchase, you provide certain personally identifiable information (PII), including, but not limited to, your name, email address, billing address, and payment details. Payment details, such as credit card information or PayPal credentials, are securely processed by trusted third-party payment gateways integrated within the WooCommerce platform. Our website and system do not store or directly handle your sensitive payment data. We do, however, access and use other provided information, especially your name and email address, to send you essential information regarding the course you enrolled in.
Students
For the purposes of this section, the term “Students” refers to any individual enrolled or participating in one of our courses. In this context, “you” also refers to our students.
Class Recordings on Zoom:
- We record our live Zoom classes. These recordings serve as a resource for any student who might have missed a lesson or wishes to review the content.
- These recordings will be uploaded on the same day the lesson takes place and will be accessible via our Discord group.
- Access to these recordings is restricted to students within the same course group.
Use of Recordings for Other Purposes:
Beyond the class recordings shared on Discord, we reserve the right to use any of the collected recordings for our promotional or other related purposes. However, we commit to ensuring that no student is identifiable in any public post or distribution. The only exception to this rule is the full-length class recordings shared on Discord for students’ reference.
Who we share your data with
We do not share the PII of our customers and students with any third parties.
