Founded in 2022, KidCoder's goal is to inspire the upcoming generation to shift from consumer to creator.

Technology is a double-edged sword — a beautiful creation yet a major source of distraction. Companies continuously pour in millions of dollars in order to make their apps and platforms as addictive as possible.

Kids are primed to become consumers of useless content from a young age. At KidCoder, we want to help change that, one coding project at a time.

Meet your instructors!

Andrei Guevorkian

Meet Andrei Guevorkian, a Software Engineering graduate from McGill University who currently works as a technical writer at an Ottawa-based startup.

Andrei gets a kick out of explaining complex topics in a simple manner. He started tutoring at the age of 16, mainly helping his friends with math assignments. In CEGEP, he worked part-time as a tutor for the institution’s Math & Science Center, where he excelled and was recognized for his work.

Since then, Andrei has acquired over 3 years of experience teaching Python through Minecraft.

Andrei occasionally writes articles about topics which are of interest to him; feel free to check out his personal blog at andreigue.github.io.

Touran Khan

Meet Touran Khan, a recent graduate from McGill University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

Touran’s talent for breaking down complex topics and making them easy to understand was evident early on in his academic journey. During his third year at McGill, he was selected to be a teaching assistant for a programming course, where he quickly gained a reputation for being an engaging and effective instructor.

Touran’s passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom. He has spent several summers tutoring underprivileged students in his hometown, helping them to develop an interest in technology and coding.

Things that make us proud

Gamified learning process

Programming is used in all fields, and because the Minecraft world is so versatile, these two make for a perfect combination that will allow your child to develop his/her creativity!

Advanced topics become reachable

Python is used in numerous fields such as robotics, AI, task automation, data analysis, web development and so much more. These courses teach the fundamentals which will be useful for your child's future career!

Bite-sized workload

No overwhelming content, no homework assignments which have nothing to do with the course content, and no more lagging behind the group.

Mastery at a personal level

When creativity is involved, it's not about who writes the most lines of code. The course content provides all students with the basics, which anyone at any level can use to make something of their own, irrespective of age.
